Eyesore:  Something Unpleasant to Look At–Random House Dictionary of the English Language.

Apparently there are people thirsting to find out which celebrities are pregnant, and if they want to watch E! news to find out who these women are, that’s fine with us.  But does everyone using the street or sidewalk have to be subjected to this latest digital billboard advertising campaign? And another question:  The Federal Highway Administration considers anything that takes a motorist’s eyes off the road for more than two seconds a distraction that could impair driving.   How long does it take for an average person to read and absorb the text on this billboard, which is set at an intersection of a heavily traveled street?  See “Digital Billboards: Unsafe and Unsightly at Any Speed
